Simple Moving Average (SMA)

Description

SMA, simple moving average, is a technical indicator that shows the average price of a crypto over a period of time and is calculated by adding up the closing prices of a cryptocurrency over a certain number of time periods and dividing the total by the number of periods.

Moving average crossover occurs when the value of one SMA crosses over the value of another SMA, which is often interpreted as a buy or sell signal. A bullish trend is indicated when the SMA is trending upward, while a bearish trend is indicated when the SMA is trending downward.

The SMA can act as a level of support or resistance for the price of a crypt, meaning that the price may have difficulty breaking through the SMA in a certain direction.
